Overview

Labii has released version 8.0, which includes a range of updates and new features. Starting with version 7.01, Labii has been focused on improving the user interface, with updates to the workflow, chemical-related functions, column configuration, and dashboard widgets. We also added support for editing mode and timezone, and fixed a subproject bug.

In version 7.14, Labii added storage audit and backlink features, while version 7.15 included the addition of Luckysheet. Later updates added support for diagnosis testing, localization, scanner, tasks, charts, storage management, calendar, and the ability to switch data centers. Version 7.25 added support for SCIM, making it easier for Labii users to manage their user accounts.

Overall, version 8.0 of Labii represents a significant update that adds numerous new features and improvements to the Labii platform, making it a more user-friendly and powerful tool for researchers and scientists.

1. New Flowchart widget to replace the Workflow widget.

2. The workflow function is now available to support the automation of LIMS data flows.

3. Here is a new widget that displays the number of records found by your filter: Record Count By Filter. 4. 4 new summary widgets have been added to the dashboard.

5. A new dashboard widget has been added: Section display. You can use this widget to displays a section from a record on the dashboard

6. Introducing 3 new shortcut dashboard widgets for quick access: Applications, Links, Filters 7. A new column widget has been added: Checkout. You can use this widget to perform checkout for a vial of sample.

8. A new column widget has been added: Sign. When samples are received, users can sign use the widget to indicated the samples have been received. 9. There is now a direct print function for each section. Each section can be printed individually now. 10. The storage map widget now supports bulk assigning and displaying names. 11. The table list view now has an edit mode.

12. The dashboard can now be customized with widgets.

13. Workflow data can now be passed from the import sheet to the executable workflows during import. 14. The configuration field for columns has been updated with an easy-to-use interface. 15. Widgets related to chemicals have been updated. All chemical widgets are now supported in Labii's new version.

16. The Select and Multiselect widgets now support color backgrounds.

When you set up a timezone in your profile, all timestamps will be converted into your local time. 27. Introducing the Timezone column widget, which displays the current time and date for a particular zone. 28. A new column widget has been added: Link. You can use this widget to link to external data.

30. Member widget now supports initials. 31. The Appointment widget has been updated to support color schemas. 32. The tasks table template has been updated to work better with the Dashboard Task widget. 33. New dashboard widget: Tasks. You can manage and display your tasks similarly to other professional software.

34. New column widget: Switch, to display a true/false switch.

35. You can now search or add records using a barcode / QR code scanner.
